The Fraser Valley Show and Shine will hold its 5th annual edition this August, bringing together motorcycle lovers from across southern British Columbia.
The event takes the format of a traditional “show and shine”, with bike owners encouraged to shine up their rides and display them along the streets of Abbotsford. Such events are popular for both car and motorcycle devotees as a way to show off their passion as well as see a lot of different models together. These events frequently use methods such as flyer printing and social media to help get the word out.
Attendance is free, and non-participants will be able to vote for the bike they like best. The votes will be tallied for a people’s choice award, which will be announced at the end of the day alongside technical awards for a variety of categories.
The Show ‘n Shine will be a festival-like event with live music provided by Rhythm Street and a barbecue providing food and drinks. Entry fees for the event will go towards the Association for Injured Motorcyclists, which helps to benefit bike lovers who have suffered accidents. All makes and models are eligible to be entered in the competition.
The 2024 edition of the Fraser Valley Motorcycle Show ‘n Shine will take place on August 11 at Fraser Valley Automail in Abbotsford.
