An Abbotsford event is in the works for this November that will give the public a place where they can get a head start on their holiday shopping, and do a good turn for their neighbours at the same time.
West Coast Artisan Collective is a group of local artists who believe it is important to give back to the community that supports them. It will be playing host to a makers’ market, and there will be two options for the public to choose from.
The plans for the weekend include a Friday night dinner and social, complete with mini photo sessions and bar. The next day will be family friendly, with a pancake breakfast with Santa on the agenda. Lunch will be available for purchase, and a gourmet hot chocolate bar will give all of the guests a chance to warm up. The market will be open for browsing and buying, and photo sessions can be booked as well.
The beneficiary of both of these events will be the Abbotsford Christmas Bureau, and the ticket holders are encouraged to go the extra mile and bring along a donation of a toy or nonperishable food, as these will be distributed to families in need. Making sure that the public knows where and when this sort of function will be held can go a long way towards helping it to meet it fundraising goals, and Print shops can be useful sources for effective marketing materials
This kickoff to the winter holiday season will be held on November 29 and 30. Agrec Centre will be the venue for both days.
