Abbotsford households that are looking for a way to beef up their security when it comes to identity theft will want to make time for an offer later this month.
The whole community is invited to get shredding at an event planned for Sevenoaks Mall, and while they are participating in the shred, they will be helping the Abbotsford library continue to offer programming and other services. A cash donation will be collected, and the BEST Shredding mobile truck will be parked on site.
Each person who plans on taking advantage of this offer will be able to have one bag or box of materials shredded, and every additional box or bag will be $5. Staple and paperclip removal is not required, and the truck will be up and running from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
When an organization hosts this sort of event, it does a good turn for the community while also raising money and awareness of its cause. It can also be a chance for the organizer to introduce itself to the public, and a printing services company will be able to help it prepare for the day by crafting and installing full colour vehicle wraps and other marketing materials.
The Sevenoaks Shred A Thon has been scheduled for September 26, and has been organized by Friends of the Library.
