The aerospace industry provides a wonderful opportunity for women to earn a high income while doing a job they love. Unfortunately, the number of girls choosing this career path remains very low, but an upcoming event in the Abbotsford area might just make a big difference.
“The Sky’s the Limit – Girls Can Fly Too”, set to take place at Langley Regional Airport, will give women and girls a chance to learn more about this lucrative field. Female coast guard pilots, air force members, RCMP helicopter pilots and many others will be on hand to share information and provide some hands-on experience with both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.
There will also be tours of the traffic control tower and demonstrations of the mechanics of these large sky-going machines.
It is hoped that at least 5,000 people will come out for the two day event, which is scheduled to take place on March 8th and 9th. One of the highlights of the weekend will be that participants will be able to take flight in either a helicopter or a fixed-wing aircraft. There are spots available for 1,500 people, and they are filling up fast.
Poster printing firms can create colorful promotional materials that help to encourage girls to choose this industry as their future career. With such a wide range of opportunities available, there really is something for everyone.
