Abbotsford entertainment venue ranked among worlds best

Abbotsford Center has recently been selected as one of the top 200 arenas in the world.

The facility, which is operated by Global Spectrum, managed to achieve a ranking of 164th on Pollstar Magazine’s 2014 Top Arena Venues list for worldwide ticket sales.

This places it at the second spot in British Columbia and 13th overall in Canada, but the ranking does not include any numbers from sporting events; rather, it is solely based on entertainment, which includes family shows and concerts.

This is not the only accolade that the venue is now able to incorporate into its poster printing efforts; it earned the top spot for Western Canada on Venue’s Today Magazine’s list, which also put it at second place for the whole of the Pacific Northwest for venues with a capacity between 5,001 and 10,000 people.

Global Spectrum representative Andrew Nash, who is the general manager of the Abbottsford Centre arena, remarked that he is pleased with its ranking and that he is grateful for all the support it has received from the community, promoters, entertainment groups, and shows.

The centre has played host to many sell-out concerts featuring well-known stars. Anyone interested in obtaining more information is invited to contact its manager of marketing and information.

Opened in 2009, Abbotsford Centre has a 7,000-seat capacity and cost $64.7 million to construct.
