Abbotsford charity gala to celebrate 25 years
The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation will be celebrating a quarter century of fundraising this November as it holds its annual gala event in grand fashion.
The anniversary event, the Fraser Valley Grand Gala, will be a formal-dress gala with a “black and white” theme, with visitors encouraged to dress in classic monochromatic evening wear. Attendees can enjoy live music and dance with a classy, old-fashioned environment. There will also be a dinner and events such as auctions to help further support the cause.
Funds raised through the Gala will go towards supporting Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Chilliwack General Hospital, Fraser Canyon Hospital, and Mission Memorial Hospital. This year’s goal is to raise $500,000 for the health system to acquire an Endoscopic Ultrasound Processor, which will assist in diagnosing lung cancer and other serious illnesses in Abbotsford and the general Fraser Valley area.
In addition to attendees, the gala raises charitable funds through sponsors, who donate money and items for the silent auction. Charitable events like this often feature sponsor names and logos on banner printing and during speeches, which can help local businesses to establish themselves in the community.
The 2025 Fraser Valley Grand Gala will take place on the evening of November 14 at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre. Group ticket discounts are available for table rentals.
