Lethbridge kids invited to learn about nature
Many children are fascinated by the natural world, and they are invited to come along with their parent or caregiver to a Lethbridge event that will help them explore nature through crafts, games, music, and more.
The Helen Schuler Nature Centre has been selected as the site for the Big Bird Little Bird program, which will see children and adults alike learn more about plants, animals and how they interact with their ecosystem and the environment they inhabit. Each week will have a different theme – such as spiders, ducks, worms, or trees – and participants can choose between the Tuesday or Wednesday timeslots. The program will be run twice on each of these days.
Spaces on the dates are limited, and parents or caregivers can register their son or daughter for that week’s activities at the start of the week. It is geared for kids who are between the ages of 2 to 5, and it will run for approximately one hour. An area printer can use digital copying to craft handouts and other materials for community-based children’s educational events such as this.
The Big Bird Little bird program will take place at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre in July, and anyone who would like to register or needs more information about the activity can be found on the community’s website.
