Lethbridge Honours its Citizens for Community Contributions
Print companies and the media will have much to talk to about over the next few days, after the city of Lethbridge honours a few of its key residents for outstanding community contributions and bestows them with the highest award the city can offer.
The Keys to the City awards were presented to provincial cabinet minister Clint Dunford along with Lethbridge’s former mayor Bob Tarleck, Chamber of Commerce manager and former politicians Shaun Ward and Jody Nilsson. The Keys to the City award has been the most prestigious award in the city and was started nine years ago. This year’s awards were presented by mayor Rajko Dodic.
This year’s recipients have been high profile members in the community, serving on city council and have appeared in media and publishing by print companies throughout Lethbridge in the past.
Dr. Lacey, chair of the Health Advisory Council, who put in 15 years of service dedicated to the ensuring the health and well being of residents in the city. Clint Dunford held three cabinet portfolios and has been the driving force surrounding many of Lethbridge’s local projects, especially the Galt Museum and Archives. Jody Nilsson has been managing the Chamber of Commerce for the past 30 years and promoting business ties within the community.
