Lethbridge Honours Ethnic Heritage Day Festival

The city of Lethbridge, AB’s 35th Heritage Day got off to a lively day as thousands participated in the event marked by worldwide culinary delights. With 13 ethnic groups represented, visitors could wander from booth to booth and sample the succulent dishes prepared by representatives of different cultures, who often also presented the food to diners in traditional dress.

Different culinary and ethic groups took part, as well as the number live entertainers who performed traditional and cultural dance to entertain diners. 14 other craft and display booths were also on hand to showcase products from around the world and bring together diverse cultures, art and food. Everything from Bolivian Tin Ku to Japanese Bonseki was on display.

Cultural community events, such as Heritage Day at Lethbridge, provide wonderful opportunities for local printers in the area to serve the community and utilize various services to help promote local events. Heritage Day is a one day afternoon event on August 1 stationed at the south pavilion at Exhibition Park, which has become a repeated great success, thanks to the promotional efforts of the various ethnic groups that participated.
