Lethbridge festival encourages outdoor play

The Nature Play Fest will be occurring in Lethbridge this June, aiming to encourage outdoor activities among those young and old.

The event is the city’s largest outdoor children’s festival, with workshops, games, and demonstrations of different types of activities. Events on offer include everything from kayaking to falconry, as well as activities like parachute games for younger children. Visitors can explore the “loose parts” playground and take part in a scavenger hunt. There will also be food trucks supplying refreshments scattered throughout the park. Last year’s event included 20 exhibitors and over 1,500 attendees, and the festival aims to get even bigger this year.

The Play Fest is sponsored by Tourism Lethbridge, the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, and the Wild 95.5 radio station. Exhibitors at family events like this often use tools like Signs and brochure printing to help explain recreation activities that will be available throughout the summer and beyond. In addition to local community organizations, there will also be craft and artisan vendors. The event markets itself to exhibitors as a way to reach the Lethbridge community:
“As a valued member of our community, we invite you to showcase your passion for outdoor play by hosting an activity at Nature Play Fest.”

The 2025 Nature Play Fest will take place at Henderson Lake Park on June 14. Admission will be free for visitors.
