Those who enjoy the challenges that may go hand in hand with alpine and rock gardening may want to save space for an event organized with them in mind.
The members of the Calgary Rock and Alpine Garden Society are excited to announce that the group’s annual plant sale is fast approaching, and they are hoping for a great turnout. It will offer four hours of shopping, and while it's scheduled for an outdoor location, it may be moved indoors if the weather dictates.
The market style activity will offer lots of options to choose from, and they will all have a local provenance. A variety of vendors will be on site, and it's recommended that the shoppers have cash on hand for their purchases. It's also advised that they bring a box or empty flat to carry their new plants to their vehicle, and while it will be focused on rock gardening and species that do well in alpine conditions, there will be other perennials as well.
The sale may be of special interest to collectors, as there will be plants grown by members which are not available at local garden centres. Species lists, vendor applications and waivers, Letterheads, plant tags, signage and other materials for a market-style event can be crafted by a Print professional.
The Calgary Rock and Alpine Garden Society has scheduled its annual Plant Sale for May 30th. The venue for the occasion will be the Lakeview Community Association.
