Calgary food lovers are about to have a whole new source of inspiration.
SAIT has released their new “Seasons” cookbook, which is full of recipes that were submitted by members of the school’s culinary faculty and staff. Ideas came from both their culinary campus and also the staff at the school’s Highwood dining room.
They formed four groups, each of which came up with food ideas to match the four seasons. They rage from light selections for the spring to more festive fare for the winter holidays.
Some of the recipes are simple and easy to prepare, while others are more of a challenge. All of them are dishes that their creators would be happy to serve their friends and family in their own home.
The book contains not only recipes, but also wine pairings for each dish and even ideas for table layouts and other decorative touches. It’s an idea addition to the library of any home chef.
The book is priced at $40.00, and is available for purchase at the downtown Scotia Center culinary campus and also the SAIT’s Marketplace on the main campus.
