Children ages three to eight from across the city of Calgary are invited to come out with their parents to an event designed to help them engage in physical activity and gain confidence in themselves.
The Tiny Tykes Triathlon combines running, wheels and water. The kids who participate in this non-timed activity can have the full support of their parents while they do so. For instance, a child who cannot swim can complete the pool portion by floating or being supported by an adult. The bicycle portion can be completed using a bicycle, tricycle, wheelchair, strider or bike chariot.
Three different categories of course are available depending on the child’s age, and parents are asked to choose the one that they feel is most appropriate for their child. Banners, award ribbons and certificates for the children who took part and other items for events such as this can be both designed and produced by a printing company.
This morning of physical fitness for kids has been scheduled for the South Calgary Pool and Park on August 13th, starting at 8:30 AM. There is plenty of parking available on site. Tickets cost $12 each and can be purchased through the triathlon’s Eventbrite listing.
