Help support the Art Gallery of Calgary with a great dinner

The 10th annual AGC Cooks: the Art of Cuisine will take place at the Art Gallery of Calgary on April 11 beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $300 and only 96 will be sold. This is the annual fundraiser for the Art Gallery of Calgary and it is always a sold out event. Business formal attire is mandatory.

AGC Cooks will feature six of Calgary’s top chefs who will compete in a cooking competition. The six chefs are Kyle Groves, Dan Norcott, Ausuma Mansy, J.P. Gerritsen, Dave Bohati and Geoff Rogers. The evening will begin with a reception with cocktails and fine cheeses, followed by a four-course dinner, coffee and cheese will be served at 9 pm and the awards will be handed out at 10 pm.

The four-course dinner will be served with wine and guests will rate each course on taste, creativity and presentation. The dinner will also be judged by a panel made up of local “foodies”, media and celebrity guests.

Poster printing companies in Calgary have reportedly provided a colourful poster of the event which will be popping up all over the city to advertise it.

The Art Gallery of Calgary's mandate is:

"The AGC is dedicated to presenting contemporary art exhibitions and providing quality art education programs and experiences for people of all ages. The AGC does not seek to acquire a permanent art collection.”

Their current exhibition is Down The Rabbit Hole: The Whimsical World of Pop Surrealism which will be running until April 7.
