Even though Calgary may be in the middle of its yearly deep freeze, there are still lots of ways to enjoy some active fun, and those who like to spend time outdoors will be treated to a weekend offering such enjoyment.
Shaganappi Point Golf Course will be rolling out the white carpet for the Frolicking and Fitness with SNO in the City, which will introduce several ways to have frosty outdoor fun. It is being offered free of charge, and the equipment and instruction will be provided.
The attendees will be able to try out activities such as snowshoeing, fat biking and cross-country skiing, and they will be set up so the public can enjoy them safely. The Shaganappi Nordic Operations Society will make sure the trails at the venue are ready for the weekend, and there will be several businesses participating as well. The event will be hosted at kiosks set up along the trails, and these paths will also be open to the general public.
An outdoor event, especially one hosted during the winter months, may require decor and signage that can withstand the weather. A banner printing company can offer a wide selection of such items.
The Frolicking and Fitness with SNO in the City event will be offered on February 3rd and 4th. The Chinook Blast website offers further details.
