Calgary to host wardrobe-expanding event

A clothing exchange gives people a chance to add some new pieces to their wardrobe while keeping clothes out of local landfills, and one of these events is set to help kick off fall in Calgary this September.

The Garden Party Clothing Exchange will offer the public a way to expand their wardrobe for free, and the activity will be hosted as an open-house-style occasion. Everyone is encouraged to bring a friend or family member, and a request had been made that everyone also supply a dish to share with at least 10 other people.

Those who attend the exchange can bring along their own gently used clothing and shoes to swap, and any items that are left over at the end of the day will be donated to Dress for Success or other charitable efforts. The function promises to be a whole lot of fun, and those who participate will be doing a good turn for other members of the their community,

A function like this often depends on word of mouth to help raise public awareness, and Print shops will be able to help spread the word even more effectively through the creation of eye-catching marketing materials like Flyers.

The Garden Party Clothing Exchange is scheduled for September 19th at 132 Deerview Drive. It will start at 2:00 pm.
