Calgary initiative to help keep out the cold

A Calgary eatery is asking the public to join in its efforts to support the Gift of Warmth campaign to help those struggling to keep out the cold.

The Guild will be collecting outwear such as coats, warm jackets, mittens, gloves, scarves and hats, and these will be passed along to Project Warmth. They can be new or gently used, and will help to make winter more bearable for those in need.

The restaurant has decided that, this year, it wants to go the extra mile and make an even greater impact. It announced that, for every coat that gets dropped off, it will make a cash donation of $3 to Project Warmth. The campaign kicked off in mid-November, and is scheduled to wrap up on January 3rd.

A grassroots initiative like this can give members of the public a way to help others that's quick and easy and can make a real difference. Making sure people are informed about how they can get involved can play an important role in meeting a campaign's goals, and this is an area where a printing services company can shine. It can work with event planners to supply them with marketing materials that meet their needs and budget, and can also supply tips and other advice.

The Guild will be collecting donations for Project Warmth until January 3rd. It can be found at 200 8 Avenue SW.
