Calgary fundraiser features karaoke fun

An event that honours the memory of a Calgary resident will soon have everyone’s voice raised in song when they belt out their favourite tunes in a karaoke fundraiser.

Nadia’s Hope Foundation has organised the Scary-Oke Karaoke Fundraising Event, which will be on offer at Nanta Karaoke & Bar. While the organizers hope it will be fun for all who take part, it will have a higher purpose, as the monies raised will fund the Bursary of Hope for legal assisting students, as well as supporting victims of domestic violence.

Nadia El-Dib loved to sing karaoke with her friends, and the gathering will pay tribute to her community spirit and sense of joy. Tickets to sing are $5.00, and there is also an option that includes a drink for $10.00. Those who would like to add even more fun can try their luck in the costume contest, and a special prize will be awarded to the winner. Additional games and raffle draws will round out the festivities.

Grassroots-level activities can be very effective at raising both funds and awareness. Keeping administration expenses low can help to leave as much as possible for the cause, and Stationery printers will be happy to help by preparing budget-friendly materials.

The Scary-Oke Karaoke Fundraising Event is set for November 1st at Nanta Karaoke & Bar. It will begin at 5:00 pm.
