This August, Calgary will be taking a step back in time to the days of knights and damsels, and everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the experience.
The Calgary Medieval Faire and Artisan Market is marking its third year, and it will offer three days of shopping, displays, performances and other activities. Those who attend the celebration are encouraged to come in costume if they wish, and many local crafters and other vendors will be participating.
Guests at the festival will be invited to view the interactive displays, and music and other entertainment is on the agenda. Food and beverages will be available, and the kids in the crowd can pick up a balloon and have their faces painted. A costume contest and prize draws have been planned as well, and discounted tickets for the celebration can be purchased ahead of time.
