Calgary winters are well known for their long nights and cold temperatures, but some upcoming crafting classes will help to beat the seasonal doldrums.
Workshop Studios is a local establishment that offers a variety of classes, and it has added two to its January schedule that will introduce crafting using an Oxford punch needle. The participants will each craft a cushion using the punch needle and other materials provided. A facilitator will be on hand to guide the group and offer advice, and the classes will start at the beginning by teaching how to use a transferred pattern. At the end of the workshop, the attendees will be able to take their project home with them. The tools will be supplied, and no experience is needed.
A crafting class such as this one can be a lot of fun, as it both teaches new skills and offers opportunities for people to socialize. A flyer printing company can be called on to get the word out to the public about such upcoming workshops in a local area.
Workshop Studios, which is located at 2501 Alyth road, has made arrangements to offer its Punch Needle Workshops on Wednesday, January 18th and Thursday, January 19th. Registration links for both of the classes can be found online. The fee to participate is $150.
