The Mayor’s Lunch for Arts Champions is set to take place again next month in Calgary, with all proceeds made at the event to be donated to various local arts organizations and artists.
The lunch is presented by Mayor Naheed Nenshi and is an annual event that pays tribute to selected artists from the Calgary area. It brings together the arts and business and usually attracts over 700 arts, community and business leaders each year.
The day will start off with a Youth Arts Showcase which will take place from 11am-12pm. It will feature performances from local schools and organizations. This will be followed by a luncheon and a program to be hosted by Dave Kelly.
This event is a good opportunity for arts and business leaders to network with one another and to possibly connect to produce new artistic programs or exhibitions.
Calgary print shops are often asked to produce items such as the printed Invitations that are available for this type of event. These are then mailed out or distributed within the community.
The Mayor’s Lunch for Arts Champions will be held at the Palomino Room of the BMO Centre on March 13 from 11am through to 1:30pm. Tickets are $95 each and tables of 10 are available. Some tickets are reduced for working artists. More information can be found on Eventbrite.
