Alberta Graphic Arts Industries Network

The Alberta Graphic Arts Industries Network (aGain) is a not-for-profit social networking group based in Calgary. They are affiliated with the IAPHC: The Graphic Professionals Resource Network. Networking is one of the most important parts of doing business and printing companies in Calgary understand that sharing with their peers in the industry present many opportunities.

aGain offers its members the chance to connect with industry leaders and potential clients; it allows them the opportunity to source leads and to win new business. There are 3 tiers of membership in aGain: Gold, which costs $1475 per year; Silver, which costs $575 per year; and Bronze which costs $275 per year. The memberships vary in how many tickets members receive for events such as banquets, golf games and Print Week; for example Gold members receive two Print Week tickets and Bronze members receive one.

The various chances for networking involve plant tours, process demonstrations, educational seminars, golf and curling tournaments, topic meeting with a guest speaker and dinner and social events. Topics are those that are of interest to those in the graphic arts such as Adobe, Pantone, photography, and printing workshops. Members of aGAIN can enter the IAPHC Gallery of Superb Printing contest which rewards the best printers in the world; the awards are handed out at the annual IAPHC International Convention in August. aGain also hosts an annual International Print Week which celebrates printing students and masters.
