Airdrie planning inaugural Pride Festival
Plans are currently underway for Airdrie’s first Pride festival, and it will be an event that is intended to bring the whole community together in a spirit of celebration.
The event’s planners are currently accepting registrations from local businesses and organizations that would like to support this special occasion, and it can be a great way to let members of the area’s LGBTQ2S+ community know it is both welcome and valued.
Organizers have chosen “Putting Down Roots” as the event’s theme and is it will be the inaugural Pride Festival for the area. They are hoping it will be a big success. Along with taking booth bookings, organizers noted that they will be pleased to accept donations from the public.
The festival is scheduled to be held in late June. It will begin in the morning and run into the afternoon. The fee to register to participate as a business is $75, while not for profits will be asked to pay $50. As this will be the first time the event has been held, the hope is that it will go well and continue to grow in future years.
When establishing festivals or other occasions such as this, it can be helpful to engage in logo design or other branding, so that it can be included in promotional products used to market these events to the public.
The first Airdrie Pride Festival has been scheduled for June 22nd. It will be taking place in Nose Creek Regional Park.
