Airdrie learning opportunity to help small business community
Starting a new business often takes a leap of faith, but an event scheduled for Airdrie may make the process easier for attendees.
Scotiabank Small Business Advisor Nav Basi is set to guide a group of learners through the steps that can lead to success in their venture. The Airdrie Public Library has made arrangements to host the activity online using the Zoom platform.
During the presentation, the learners will be guided through the steps to follow when setting up a business, and they will cover a range of topics, such as developing a vision for a start-up, putting together a business plan and raising money to fund the venture. When they register to participate, the attendees will be asked to supply their library card number, along with their name and contact details. There are spaces for up to 20 people.
Hosting a workshop like this is one way a public institution can support its local small business community. Print shops can be called upon to supply hard copy learning materials, such as training manuals, along with items like promotional pens and notebooks.
The Airdrie Public Library has scheduled this educational activity for April 12th, and everyone who registers is asked to log in at 7:00 pm. Registration for the function can be completed through the institution’s website.
