Major drinks event to head for Perth

Perth’s premier conference centre is set to welcome a festival dedicated to gin and food later this year.

Residents of Perth with a passion for the juniper berry-infused spirit will likely be pleased to hear that the Perth Gin and Food Festival is coming to the capital in spring. Presented by the Australian Gin Distillers Association, the three-day event will be held at a local venue in October.

Each ticket purchased entitles its bearer to unlimited samples of gin from 42 different craft distillers based in Australia during a three-hour session. While distillers pour, they will share stories of their enterprise and how they make gin. Beverage businesses attending industry events like festivals and exhibitions often order branded Promotional Products they can pass around to attendees to boost their profile.

Ticket holders will also receive a free tote bag and tasting glass, plus mixers like soda and tonic water. A selection of cold and hot food will be available from an onsite café; however, there will also be sample-and-buy stands and two food trucks in attendance.

The Perth Gin and Food Festival will now be at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from Friday, 17 to Sunday, 19 October. The centre is sited at 21 Mounts Bay Road in Perth, and different ticket options are available priced between $80 and $200.
