Wine event bound for Bibra Lake area
A masterclass exploring the wines of Western Australia is taking place this autumn in Perth.
Wine enthusiasts and budding sommeliers in Bibra Lake won’t want to miss an educational experience occurring in nearby Perth later in the year. This May, the Shoe Bar and Café in the state capital is presenting a special masterclass for wine lovers called “Best of the West”.
Promoters of wine events like tastings, pairings and master classes sometimes contact brochure printing services to create plush pamphlets that explain experiences to potential participants.
The masterclass in Perth is focused on the best varieties of wine found in Western Australia (WA) and the areas where they grow best. WA is well-known as the largest state down under but it’s also among the smallest wine producing areas in the nation. While it generates around five per cent of Australia’s wine, the quality is considered the country’s finest.
Wine history in the state dates to 1840 in Swan Valley, but later migrated to Margaret River and The Great Southern, which is today the largest wine area in WA. Grape varieties in the state include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Riesling and Semillon.
The masterclass is running at The Shoe Bar and Café on Wednesday, May 14 and the venue is based on Wellington Street in Perth.
