Community Science Conference comes to Bibra Lake
Locals in Bibra Lake are invited to attend the Heads Healing the Land/Kaat Koyingkeriny Boodja-k - Community Science Conference, which is scheduled for May 2025.
Proudly supported by Perth NRM, Parks and Wildlife Service, SERCUL, and Rehabilitating Roe 8, this conference will bring together scientists, volunteers, and land care practitioners in a celebration of the impact and power of community on land care.
This day-long event will feature speakers from land care, restoration, resource management and educational backgrounds, offering participants the opportunity to connect, learn, and form community. The conference will focus on a range of themes, including the use of knowledge and technology to care for country, the importance of connected bushland in urban environments, the perspectives of traditional owners, and working together as a community.
Featuring keynote speeches, posters, speed talks, and practical activities out in the bush, this conference promises to be an insightful, impactful experience for all.

The Heads Healing the Land/Kaat Koyingkeriny Boodja-k - Community Science Conference will be held on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, from 9:00AM to 4:30PM, at the Wetlands Centre Cockburn, 184 Hope Rd, Bibra Lake WA 6163. Bush tucker catering is provided, and the day will conclude with a sundowner from 3:30 – 4:30PM. Tickets are priced at $20 and can be purchased through the Humanitix website.
