Bibra Lake to host ice hockey action

Two ice hockey teams will face off at a rink in Bibra Lake for a match in honour of a local charity.

Those with a passion for sporting action and supporting a good cause in Bibra Lake will be doubly served this summer. The suburb’s popular Cockburn Ice Arena has announced it will be hosting an ice hockey match designed to support Zonta House Women's Refuge.

Organisers of sporting competitions sometimes reach out to experienced printing services that can produce personalised medals, trophies and plaques featuring the name of players and teams that win.

The upcoming event is the final home game weekend for the season when the annual charity game is played. The match will see the Melbourne Ducks (for the first time at the Cockburn Ice Arena) face off against Perth Inferno. Players for the Western Australian team will be wearing bespoke charity match jerseys which will be up for auction. Profits from shirts sold will be given to Zonta House.

The Cabin 401 Bar & Grill serving Australian and American dishes at the rink will be open. Bibra Lake hockey fans coming down to the game are invited to grab a bite and drink early and find a seat for the 4.30 puck drop.

The charity match will take place at Cockburn Ice Arena on Saturday, February 8. The skating arena is located at 401 Progress Drive in Bibra Lake.
