The bassist and singer from a legendary English rock band will play live in Thornbury later this year.
Metalheads in Thornbury looking to rock out this spring are in for a rare treat. A local events venue has booked a show that will see renowned bass player and vocalist Glenn Hughes performing classic Deep Purple tracks live on stage.
Presented by Hardline Media, the show is designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the eighth Deep Purple album “Burn”.

As the former singer and bassist for Deep Purple, Hughes is regarded by many as the ‘Voice of Rock’, and the upcoming show in Thornbury will see the acclaimed artist and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame play tracks from the iconic rock album, along with other selected hits from the band.
Burn was written in the Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire’s verdant Forest of Dean, and later recorded in Montreux, Switzerland in 1973, with David Coverdale as frontman. The songs were crafted in the centuries old fortress’s dungeon beneath its great hall.
Glenn Hughes will now play live at the Croxton Bandroom on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30pm. The venue can be found at 607 High Street in Thornbury.
