Live on stage, The Counterfeit will be performing a celebration of the soundtracks of Italian Westerns in the 1960s, with accompanying film scenes that will synchronise with the music for an immersive and gritty experience. Morricone was a prolific composer and has always been regarded as one of the best ever film composers.
The twelve-piece band, together with vocalist Freya Josephine Hollick, will be entertaining the audience with well-known songs and new material. The Counterfeit, also dubbed The Most Dangerous Band in Town, has been existence since 2022. Headline shows have been sold out and the band is about to release a fourth album, Violent Night on the Prairie. Appearances at festivals has helped to cement a reputation as modern pioneers of Spaghetti Western movie soundtracks.
