Ricoh integration with IBM printing business finally hits Aussie shores

Ricoh’s integration with the former IBM printing business InfoPrint has now come to Australia. The global technology giant bought the printing business four years ago with the takeover finalised in 2010. The integration of Ricoh and InfoPrint will add high-end production printing services to the Ricoh Production Print Solutions portfolio.

Australia has finally come in line with the other Ricoh businesses globally and can now offer a full range of print production services and products to a vast array of businesses and sectors. Ricoh Australia’s managing director, Les Richardson said:

“By completing the integration that began as a global rollout announced earlier this year, Ricoh Australia will be able to offer a more effective approach to the current highly competitive landscape,”

Printing companies in Thornbury can benefit from the InfoPrint 5000, considered to be the world’s most successful inkjet printer brand because it offers the most installations, now that it has been rolled into Ricoh’s print production group. Richardson spoke about the benefits:

“This brings new added value to the market and we can now offer a greater suite of cutting edge products, backed by the great service that people have come to expect from both Ricoh and InfoPrint,”

Rene Kisselbach, GM at InfoPrint’s Australia and New Zealand operations said they had been working with Ricoh at length to finalise the partnership:

“Our mission and vision, synonymously with Ricoh, is to make our customers successful through the capitalisation of innovative technologies with strong business value.”
