An award-winning singing group from Australia will soon play the ballroom at a premier events venue in Thornbury.
Music enthusiasts in Thornbury will get their chance to enjoy a night of acapella singing in spring. November will find Australia’s The Idea of North performing two back-to-back shows at the Thornbury Theatre’s ballroom. After reforming last year, the band are taking to the road towards the end of the year for national tour to promote their new album.

Their 15th release to date, The Idea of North’s new album is simply dubbed “Live” and features tracks recorded in some of Australia’s best-loved venues. The November performance will see the group plat songs sourced from the album which includes some old favourites and brand-new tunes.
With multiple ARIA awards to their credit the vocal group cross many music genres including pop, classical, folk, jazz, gospel and even comedy.
The Idea of North will now take to the stage in the ballroom at Thornbury Theatre on Friday, November 29 and Saturday November 30. The theatre can be found at 859 the High Street in Thornbury.
This show is suitable for people of all ages but under 18s must have a guardian present.
