The 8th Annual Acland Street and Showcars Melbourne Father’s Day Car Show is being held in September.
The event is hosted by Showcars Melbourne, which was established in 2010 as a car and bike show. The shows include various types of cars, such as modern, original vintage, elite, and classics.
Port Melbourne residents can expect Acland Street of their neighbouring suburb St Kilda’s to be transformed on Father’s Day. Hundreds of classic cars and bikes will be arriving to the Acland Street Village for the day. Due to the scale of the event, Shakespeare Street, Acland Street, O’Donnell Gardens and the Luna Park Entrance will all be closed to the traffic in the local area for the event. As it is a Father’s Day celebration, there will be a range of family-oriented activities, such as carnival rides, face painting, dodgem cars and giveaways.
