Flyers have gone out to Seaford, Frankston and surrounding areas for the latest smash hit dance show scheduled to hit the floorboards at the Frankston Arts Centre soon.
Appropriately named, 'Beats On Pointe’ the Masters of Choreography’s latest production follows in the footsteps of the dance company’s highly successful 2016 tour.
Directed, produced and created by Jennifer Peric, Beats on Pointe has been described as a colourful and fun-filled production that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
A spokesman for the show said it is an exciting commercial mix of electric entertainment that combines old school and modern ballet with street dance.
Emma Vaiano, who choreographed the ballet, joined with street choreographer Phill Haddad to present a dynamic modern stage story that focuses on two opposing worlds of dance with an intertwining range of captivating dance, feel-good music, comedy and freestyle acts, according to the spokesman.
Matt McFarlane, of Aussie Theatre, described the show as a ‘roller coaster’ of action-packed new and old school street dance, contemporary and classical ballet, beat boxing, physical comedy and singing.
He said audiences will find the production is far more than just a ‘dance show’, but moreover a theatrical extravaganza.
Promoted as the country’s hottest dance theatre show, it hits the Frankston Arts Centre stage this Saturday, February 4.
