Television personality to speak in Frankston

Entrepreneurs are certain to gain inspiration from the next Frankston and Mornington Peninsula business breakfast.

The breakfasts offer local company owners the chance to hear from industry leaders and to develop relationships between enterprises throughout the district.

The guest speaker at the event this month will be philanthropist and actor Samuel Johnson.

Samuel is well known to many Australians through his work on television and in radio, but he also came to public attention when he undertook a mammoth unicycle ride for charity.

In 2013, he rode around Australia to raise money for the Garvan Research Foundation in honour of his sister, who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The charity set up as part of the project, Love Your Sister, has raised more than $1.75million. Samuel also set a Guinness World Record for the greatest distance travelled on a unicycle.

During the breakfast, Samuel will talk not only about his unicycle journey, but also about what it takes to create and promote a brand such as Love Your Sister.

There will also be plenty of time for networking, so business leaders from Seaford thinking of attending should ensure they have used professional business card printing to present themselves well.

Samuel will speak at the Frankston Arts Centre on Thursday, September 25th. The event begins at 7am and tickets can be booked via the city council website.
