Signs in Seaford

Compared to many Melbourne suburbs, Seaford in Victoria was late to develop. The suburb is located in the City of Frankston about 36km from Melbourne CBD. Signs in Seaford didn’t bear its name until 1913 when the area’s first railway station was established. It was not until the 1950s that real growth in population began in earnest and Seaford began to welcome new residents, small business and industry. Here at Minuteman Press, we focus on supplying traditional and digital Print supplies for all sections of the community.

Modern day Seaford is a fascinating mix of residential, light industry and unique wetland areas that take visitors and residents back to an ancient time, long before European settlement. One such area is known as the Seaford Wetlands. Environmentalists come from around the world to admire the natural attraction, which appears on the Register of the National Estate and is home to an eclectic mix of endangered and rare migratory species of birds. It also hosts river red gums that are reported to have been there for several hundred years as well as some small native animals including snakes, water rates, frogs and swamp rats. Signs in Seaford’s 305ha wetland reserve also list a few fish including the short-finned eels, common galaxias and mosquitofish.
