Locals in Seaford are preparing for a songwriting workshop coming to the suburb in July.
Designed for students wanting to develop their music and vocal skills, this workshop focuses on songwriting and performance. The workshop will be led by Shauny Scanlon, an experienced specialist in education for people with learning disabilities.
Students will be presented with individualised programs that will assist them in writing their own pieces and strengthening their instruments and voices. They will learn teamwork, confidence, performance strategies, goalsetting, and techniques to enhance their focus and mood.
This free introductory workshop will lead to a program, Journey to Joy, which provides a plan for each student to write and perform their own pieces. Working as a team across four weeks, students will present a group performance at the conclusion of the program.
Workshop organisers can use items such as promotional Pens to provide participants with attractive, practical giveaways that generate a positive association with their brand.
Shauny’s Bandcamp Songwriting Workshop will be held on Saturday, 5 July 2025 at the Healthy Futures Hub, 2/151 East Rd, Seaford, VIC 3198. The workshop commences at 10:00AM and concludes at 12:00PM, and is open to attendees aged ten and above. The first thirty minutes of this introductory session are free, and the following four-week Journey to Joy program is priced at $22 per week. Spaces are limited, so to book for the free introductory session, visit the Humanitix website.
