Seaford educators and youth professionals invited to forum

Educational professionals, social workers and youth professionals in Seaford are invited to attend the 2021 At Risk Forum, which is aimed at identifying strategies for working with youth at risk.

Previously scheduled for August this year, the forum is now set to take place in late October due to COVID restrictions. Organised by the Bayside Glen Eira Kingston Local Learning and Employment Network, the forum is being conducted in collaboration with the youth services of the various local government councils and the Holmesglen Vocational College.

Professional development and community education forums such as this can benefit from accessing professional printing services to prepare course materials and take-home information.

Speakers scheduled to appear throughout the day include Associate Professor Dr Glenn Melville from Deakin University, who will speak about school refusal and how agencies and staff can respond. Dr Jude Walker will also talk about future work options and trends, after which participants can select from one of two other concurrent sessions. For participants interested in learning more about apprenticeship options, Craig Hilton from the AI Group will discuss various options, while Dale Sidebottom from Jugar Life and Energetic Education will discuss making education more engaging.

The 2021 At Risk Forum is scheduled to run on Wednesday, October 27th from 8:45 am to 2 pm at Woodlands Golf Club on White Street. Spaces are limited, so bookings are essential.
