New Frankston caf boasts captivating views

Residents and visitors to the City of Frankston, including Seaford, will soon have a new venue from which to experience great food while overlooking the sun setting and boats sailing past.

The new Oliver's Corner café and beach bar is currently being established on Frankston Yacht Club's ground floor. The beautifully positioned lower floor location has been leased by the council to John O'Halloran and Brendan Theobald, who have set out to provide an enticing new experience for all visitors.

The lessees say they were inspired by Bondi Beach's The Bucket List, and they plan to make the most of uninterrupted views of the Bay by installing windows that extend from the floor to the ceiling. Theobald added:

“It is all about the view and watching the sun set over the bay, seeing the sail boats go by and enjoying simple food in a way we haven’t be able to do it before – this is a different offer."

Councillor Brad Hill said everyone at the council was excited to see the new beachside café coming together and believed it will capture the best that Frankston has to offer, including bay views, the beach and the sharing of great drinks and food.

Flyer printing campaigns are often launched when venues in popular locations such as this are officially opened, which for Oliver's Corner is expected to be April 2021. It is also planned for the venue to be kept open year-round.
