According to Simon Lane, national manager for graphic communications at Fuji Xerox Australia, the new printer is "pretty damn impressive" after he viewed it in action in Japan earlier this year.
"It is a continuation of our long heritage in high-speed colour solutions," Lane said.
"We expect this new platform to meet the demands of both the Mailing and commercial Print markets, and it heralds an exciting new era in this market."
Due to its high speed capabilities, the new inkjet machine is most suited to Print companies who regularly do large scale Print jobs such as, Catalogues, accounts and invoice printing. As a result, Fuji Xerox Australia will be primarily targeting catalogue printers, mail houses and large commercial Print companies. The 2800 Inkjet Color Continuous Feed Printing System is expected to be released in Australia during the first quarter of next year.
