Businesses in Seaford have the chance to get financial assistance from the council to help them during the next year.
Frankston City Council is offering grants of up to $15,000 in five categories to local companies that can prove their worth.
Since beginning the scheme in 2012, 10 grants have been awarded, helping find new uses for previously vacant local commercial properties and creating jobs.
There are three general categories, which are open to any business that fits the criteria and include awards for start-ups, companies moving into the area, and home-based businesses. There are also two specialist awards – one for exporters and one for products or services that have a positive impact on the environment.
Companies are free to choose how they use the money and some, especially start-ups, might like to think about budgeting part of the grant for cost-effective advertising such as flyer printing.
The council only accepts applications once a year and businesses have from now until Monday, October 27th to make their case.
Firms thinking of applying also need to attend the information session next Tuesday (September 23rd) to find out more about the process, and will be offered guidance in completing their applications.
An independent panel will judge entries, and the recipients will be announced later this year. Application Forms are available from the Frankston City Council website.Get a Free Quote for Forms
