Boost for businesses in Frankston

Seaford entrepreneurs are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s round of workshops as part of the Build Your Business programme.

The scheme is run by Frankston City Council and is designed to help small and medium-sized local firms to take advantage of the city’s recent growth.

The programme covers a range of topics to help businesses develop, including networking, employment and staff retention and branding.

This year’s workshops include tips for marketing success both in traditional advertising and online, how to deal with bureaucracy, and how to make the most of holiday seasons and events in Frankston.

The initiative also includes business mentoring; networking events such as the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula business breakfasts; help from the council with advertising and promotion; and access to other schemes such as Buy Local, which encourages local firms to bid for council tenders.

With plenty of networking opportunities provided by the workshops and meetings, participants should think seriously about making an order for business card printing before attending any event, to make the most of any new connections that might find. Firm owners might also like to consider digital Business Cards.

Online registrations for the 2015 series of workshops are open now, and can be made via the Frankston City Council website. The workshops start in April and run throughout the year.
