Beginners macram workshop coming up in Seaford

A macramé workshop is to be held in Seaford this month, introducing beginners to macramé wall hangings.

The workshop is being run for those interested in learning a new craft and it will teach the basic skills needed to create decorative macramé pieces.

Attendees will be taught how to tie basic knots as well as how to design and create a wall hanging. There will be discussions on the day about the benefits of macramé and lots of tips and ideas to help those interested in continuing on with the craft.

Macramé has become popular in recent times, for those who enjoy working with their hands and can be used to create decorative items from plant hangers, jewellery, wall hangings and even items of clothing. Flyer printing may be useful in advertising classes or other upcoming events.

Materials will be provided for participants at the session and it is advisable that attendees wear comfortable clothing. As the craft involves working with light coloured fibres such as cotton and jute, it is recommended that dark coloured clothing not be worn. Snacks will also be provided throughout the session, which will run for four hours.

The workshop will be held on Saturday August 10th at 11am at the Pretty Kooky Studio in Seaford. The cost for the day is $135 per person.
