Hawthorn music fans to hear Canadian legend

An iconic Canadian recording artist is coming to play Victoria this year.

Venerable rock hero and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Neil Young will be coming to St Kilda this year, giving music lovers from suburbs like Hawthorn a chance to hear him performing his hits live on stage.

Born in Toronto in 1945, Young began his musical career in Canada in the 60s, before relocating to LA to join Buffalo Springfield. Later, he embarked on a solo career, which continues to earn him respect and admiration from fans and critics alike.

Young was inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, both as a band member and as a solo artist. Albums like Rust Never Sleeps, Harvest and On the Beach were well received, and his live performances still have the power to sell out shows decades later.

Live venues of all size, from coffee shops and clubs to stadiums and arenas, sometimes use flyer printing services to create branded leaflets advertising upcoming events to encourage admissions.

Those attending the upcoming concert in St Kilda will be able to listen to a set-list packed with Young’s classic tracks, which may include “Rockin’ in the Free World”, “Tonight’s the Night”, “The Needle and the Damage Done”, “Hey Hey, My My” and “Ohio”.

Neil Young will now play at the Palais Theatre on Lower Esplanade in St Kilda on Saturday, May 26.
