The Hawthorn Rowing Club is preparing to host the Head of the Yarra 2025, the southern hemisphere’s largest eights rowing regatta.
The competition draws in crews from across Australia and New Zealand to race each other through the 8km course in a time-trial event.
280 crews will race from Boathouse Drive in the CBD to the Hawthorn Rowing Club, rowing upstream through the Yarra. Competitors include top crews from Australia and New Zealand, club athletes, Para Eight crews and school teams, with ages ranging from under 17 to over 80. Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the fastest time in their specific category.
The race will be recorded and broadcast live, allowing clubs to stream the event to their own venues and cheer for their teams on the day.
Volunteers are often a key factor in running sporting events like this one, and are typically identified by T-Shirts or other Apparel items provided specifically for the day. Event organisers may turn to Print shops to supply these items, which often feature event details, logo designs and a clear ‘Volunteer’ label.
The Head of the Yarra 2025 regatta will take place on Saturday, November 22, starting at 8 am from Boathouse Drive in the CBD, with the finish line and race administration located at the Hawthorn Rowing Club.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Apparel Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
