Tribute to easy listening icon in Greensborough
A tribute to an easy listening popular music icon is playing for an audience in Greensborough in May.
Neil Diamond has been writing music for himself and others since the 1960s, with the hits Sweet Caroline, Song Sung Blue and Cracklin’ Rosie coming along at the end of that decade and into the 1970s. He then started to sell out concert venues, which was unusual for that time.
With an illustrious career, Diamond has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and received a lifetime achievement award in 2011 at the Kennedy Center.
The Ultimate Neil Diamond Experience, Hot August Night, consists of five musicians who have played together for around twenty years. Founding member and lead singer, Matt Eldridge, sings as Neil Diamond, and with the bond the musicians share, the sound they produce is infectious and memorable.
Printing services are often employed by venues in order to produce posters to advertise upcoming events within the community.
The Ultimate Neil Diamond Experience (Hot August Night) is taking place on Friday 16th May at the Greensborough RSL on Main Street in Greensborough. Tickets cost $67.90, to include a two-course dinner. Doors open at 6.30pm, dinner is served at 7pm and the show starts at 8.30pm.
