Women in sport to come together in Greensborough

Professional, student and recreational athletes will have the chance to come together for a night of networking and charity at Banyule Council’s Women in Sport event.

Featuring Olympian Dr Lauren Burns OAM as guest speaker, the evening is a chance for women in the community to learn and share tips for high-performance and wellbeing.

Burns will be delivering one of her signature passionate and engaging presentations, focused on empowering attendees to strive for high-performance in sports and optimal overall wellbeing through a mix of storytelling and research-based evidence. Backed by her PHD in Athlete Lifestyle and Mindset and day-to-day work with the Australian Institute of Sport, Burns made Australian sporting history when she won a gold medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, placing first in the Olympic debut of Taekwondo.

Attendees will have the chance to mingle and build connections with other athletes throughout the night, over drinks and a selection of hot finger foods. Guests will also be supporting charity through attendance, with ticket proceeds going to ovarian cancer research.

Community networking events and public lectures often turn to banner printing services to develop signage for the event. This is typically displayed on stage or throughout the venue and features key event information, along with the logo design of sponsors.

The Banyule Council’s Women in Sport networking evening will take place at the Greensborough Bowling Club from 6pm on Wednesday, July 23.
