Residents urged to take part in phone survey

Residents in Epping and throughout Whittlesea City are being urged to take part in the latest annual survey to be conducted by a company that specialises in market research.

To be undertaken on behalf of the Victorian Government, the survey is being conducted to evaluate the perception of community members about the state's councils, as well as the wide array of services they provide. The initiative will see an independent agency dealing in market research – National Field Services – conduct 800 interviews over the phone within each municipality.

CEO of Whittlesea City Craig Lloyd urged residents who receive the calls to take part in the 10-minute survey, saying:

β€œThe City of Whittlesea is very committed to making improvements to the way we deliver services and facilities and this survey is just one way we can hear from our community and improve our performance.”

Flyer printing campaigns have often help to spread the word about council initiatives that seek feedback from the community.

The council will also be speaking with community groups, clubs, businesses and residents in an effort to gain comments from the community to assist in the formation of the 2021-25 Council Plan. In addition, feedback will also be invited at a forum to be held online on February 18. It will include Council Administrators Bruce Billson, Peita Duncan and Lydia Wilson, as well as Lloyd and executive team members.

All feedback received will assist in shaping Whittlesea City in the coming years.
