Epping Central is being promoted to investors and developers in a new prospectus as part of the area’s redevelopment.
Brochure printers have put together a document called the Epping Central Business Prospectus, which was released this month by the Whittlesea City Council and the Epping Central Partnership Group.
The Epping Central Project is designed to revamp the area, with plans including new housing, retail and commercial developments and open spaces.
The area has been designated a Metropolitan Activity Centre by the Victorian State Government, which means the Government will support some of the redevelopment.
The suburb has been chosen due in part to its existing major facilities, such as the Northern Hospital, the amount of vacant land, and its accessible public transport infrastructure.
Several high-profile changes have already been publicised, including the relocation of the Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market and the opening of a new Costco next year that is set to bring hundreds of jobs to the suburb.
Other projects include the redevelopment of Coulstock Street Park, which will go out to consultation next year, and the expansion of the Pacific Epping Shopping Centre.
The prospectus explores some of the changes already taking place and also contains information for investors and developers about why Epping is a good area for them.
More information about the project can be found on the Epping Central Facebook page.
