Croydon to host photography software course

A course designed to teach photographers how to use software that can enhance their images will run in Croydon this autumn.

Croydon camera owners keen to make the most of their photography can enrol in a course coming to the suburb in March. Dubbed the “Adobe Lightroom Classic Beginner Course”, the educational experience is ideal for photographers with no prior knowledge of the software, as well as experienced users looking for a refresher.

After digitally editing their work, many photographers use affordable printing services to create Copies of their images to share, sell and keep.

The five-hour course is an immersive and intensive experience. Topics covered will include understanding the difference between the types of digital file formats like JPEG and Raw, and how to export them successfully. The ins and outs of screen calibration and colour gamut will be explained, along with how to set up and personalise the application Lightroom.

Image organisation, including how to flag, tag and colour code work, will be investigated, as well as how to correct white balance and colour.

The Adobe Lightroom Classic Beginner Course will be taught at the Croydon Camera House Studio on Saturday, March 22. The studio is based at 125 Main Street in Croydon, and enrolment is charged at $199. The course will begin at 9.30 am and end at 2.30 pm.
